My research focuses on language processing and bilingualism. The overarching goal of my work is to understand the neuro-cognitive bases of bilingualism and the earliest stages of second language acquisition.
I utilize behavioral, cognitive, and neuroimaging techniques such as event-related potentials (TFRs/ERPs), and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
I understand bilingualism and second language learning in the OneHealth framework, and being a part of the human health capital!
I conduct the Brain, Language and Bilingualism Lab at the University of Florida. Visit the BlaB site to read about current research projects, and outreach activities.
