Short BIO

I obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1995) and a MA in Economics from the University of Tufts, USA (1996) before starting a doctorate at CORE, Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium) where I obtained an MA (1997) and my PhD in December 2000. My research deals with education policy and finance, optimal taxation, and more recently, labor economics and gender issues. I have published in journals such as the Journal of Urban Economics, the European Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Economic Theory, Economics of Education Review, and Journal of Population Economics. From 2018 to 2024, I was Executive Editor of Hacienda Pública Española/Review of Public Economics
