Elena Camilletti

Hello! Welcome to my personal website. 

I’m a public policy researcher and practitioner with a decade of experience advancing gender equality and child and adolescent rights across global contexts, especially through social protection, care systems and economic empowerment interventions. My work bridges evidence and impact - through designing, managing, researching and evaluating programmes and policies that shape the lives of women, children and adolescents worldwide.

My research focuses on both the processes and outcomes of policy-making and programming in development, fragile, and humanitarian contexts. I'm currently a part-time PhD Fellow at UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University, where I am investing the role of unpaid care and domestic work by children on their well-being - a topic at the heart of my interest for the care economy, gender-transformative social protection, and intergenerational justice.
