Privacy Policy

Updated: 29 July 2023

This Privacy Policy explains how MAXY&Z ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our Electronic Medical Database - SOAP Edition app ("the app"). By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy and consent to our data practices.

What information do we collect?

The app primarily stores patient data on the local device which is protected by the user. The app also provides the functionality of synchronizing and backing up App Data with OneDrive, subject to the user's consent. This data is also protected by the user and the developer has no access to it. The app uses Azure service for some of its features such as the Appointment and Authentication System which collects healthcare professional data (via the app) such as Microsoft account details, name, specialization, clinic address and email, and client details (via Patient Portal) including name and email.

We also collect anonymized usage and device data from Microsoft Partner Center, such as how often you use the app, what features you use, what errors you encounter, and what device model and operating system you use.

How do we use your information?

We use your information for the following purposes:

·        To provide and improve the app and its features

·        To communicate with you about the app and respond to your inquiries

·        To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights

·        To protect the security and integrity of the app and our systems

·        To analyze and understand how the app is used and how we can improve it

How do we share your information?

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:

·        Microsoft Azure service providers who help us provide and maintain the app and its features

·        Other third parties as required by law or to protect our rights or interests

·       Other third parties with your consent or at your direction such as your healthcare provider (if you are a client/patient), clients or patients (if you are a healthcare provider) using the Appointment System

How do we protect your information?

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and your Microsoft account credentials.

How long do we keep your information?

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide and improve the app and its features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our rights. Healthcare professional data for Appointment use are stored unless consented for deletion or deemed necessary by the developer. For the latter, a notice will be provided to you via the credentials you submitted to us. Client details expire after about 2 weeks from submission and will be deleted automatically if not collected by the healthcare professional. Only the healthcare professional indicated by the client can collect the details. Client details are also deleted from Azure once collected by the healthcare professional so that the professional will have the sole access thereafter. Other personal information are stored locally on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
