In Memorium

It's with great sadness that I report on the passing of Dale Malasek at the age of 81.  Anyone who knew Dale admired and respected him.

Dale was legendary in the trials community.  As the US GasGas importer for 26 years, his word was his bond.

I only got to know Dale because of the Dragonfly.  I came to think of him as almost superhuman, competing in the USA National Championships as recently as 2024.

Not only was Dale the US importer for Mecatecno, he was instrumental in evaluating the Dragonfly from the very beginning.

Dale Malasek: electrical engineer, commercial pilot, businessman, trials guru, role model, exceptional human being.

Let this be a reminder to us all.  Life is short — make the most of yours.
