The Vernacular Music Center at Texas Tech University is pleased to invite scholars, performers, fans, and the general public to attend and participate in “The Electric Guitar in American Culture” on October 12-13-14, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas, the home of Buddy Holly, The Flatlanders, and many other greats.

“The Electric Guitar in American Culture” will combine an academic conference (where scholars present research papers on subjects related to the electric guitar) with concerts, demonstrations, panel discussions, and an exhibit hall where companies, products, and organizations will be represented.
