I am often asked what perennials require. Unfortunately perennials comprise a huge number of plants which winter over from year to year but other than that they have little in common. They have various requirements for sun, moisture, PH, etc. and there is no general suggested culture for such a lage group of diverse plants.

I have a program where I have logged some of my experience growing perennials in the Catskills. The program allows you to pick the various characters you desire and presents a list of all found items. The program initially was read only but in the past two years I have expanded its abilities so that anyone can create new identifiers and add new data to existing identifiers.
