History has left us with a fossil-fuel based world, and that's causing our climate catastrophe, which lays waste to nature as we know it. We all feel like it's not really our fault, but blame is not the point. We just have to act, each and every one of us, to save our planet. Lots of people who love to get out to nature for hiking and playing have ICEVs (internal combustion engines).  These are trashing our planet - there's no way around that. Every science-based look at this agrees: We have to ditch our ICEVs, RIGHT NOW. It would be great if we could wait for someone else to fix this problem, but they won't, and the planet can't wait.  We love trucks and 4X4s too.  Many of our adventure partners have trucks and vans. They take us to fun and adventure, and most important, beautiful nature. Being outdoors has become almost synonymous with having a cool SUV to take us there. Just look at ads for SUVs - always in a beautiful backcountry spot. But if we're honest, us backcountry users are some of the biggest climate-damaging polluters: long drives with low mpg 4X4s and vans are one of the worst things you can do for the climate, next to running a coal plant. We love nature, but we're contributing to wildfire smoke-choked summers, massive tree die-offs, the end of snow season, warming and drought, dried up rivers, violent storms, and on and on.  But there's a better way!
