The Electrical Machines Laboratory has various electrical machines such as single phase transformers, DC Generators, DC motors, induction motors and Alternator. Students will do experiments on both static and rotating electrical machines, so, that they gain practical knowledge on speed control of various rotating motors and voltage control of transformers and alternators etc. The laboratory equipment can also be used for doing project works related to electrical machines and energy conversion. This lab experience will help the students for selection of motors and their application in various industries.

Power System Lab
Power System is used with the course on "Transmission and Distribution of Electric " , "Switchgear and Protection " and "Electrical Instrumentation" " power" .Switchgear and Protection Lab is conducted for the diploma students in their 6th Sem. Switchgear and Protection Lab equipped with all types of relays for transformer, generator and motor protection has been developed. This laboratory is useful to the students of final year Electrical Engineering in getting the upto date knowledge of the working of the various types of relays by actual demonstration.
Precise measurement of the quantities such as voltage, current, power, temperature, pressure etc. is essential to operate and maintain the electrical machines and systems effectively and efficiently. Transducers and instruments are the devices which are used to measure such parameters. The electrical diploma engineer should therefore be competent to use, calibrate and maintain different types of electrical instrumentation systems and transducers used in the industry and power systems.
