I was born in Clayton County, relocating to Fayette County in 1989 then graduating from Sandy Creek High School. I am a part-time student, enrolled at Southern Crescent Technical College pursuing a degree in Business Management. I’ve been employed by George Wingo, the Fayette County Tax Commissioner, since September of 2001. My first assigned duties were those of a tax clerk, from which I have had the opportunity to advance to different supervisory positions to my current position as the Chief Deputy Tax Commissioner. I did not envision myself as that of a public servant, however, I have grown to respect and honor my position and the responsibility as a servant to the taxpayers of Fayette County. I would be honored to continue my commitment to serve the citizens of Fayette County as Tax Commissioner, if elected to do so.
I have a son attending Fayette County High School. Our interests have resulted in our enrollment in Tae Kwon Do classes here in Fayetteville. We earned our black belts together in March of 2015. Like most parents, I am very proud of my son and the young man he is becoming. I’ve been a single mother for quite some time, and can relate to more parents than many realize. One of my goals in life is to see others from their current situation, whether in my private life or in the work environment. I am driven to learn, serve, and enjoy life with the most positive attitude possible! My family is of great importance to me, as well as my love of animals.
Started at the Tax Commissioners office in Sept 2001 as a tax clerk. January of 2007 was promoted to Deliquent Tax Collector. Feb. of 2010 I was promoted to Property Supervisor. January 2013 I was promoted to Deputy Tax Commissioner. In July of 2015 I was sworn in as Chief Deputy Tax Commissioner.
I would consider it an honor if you would be willing to assist me in my efforts to seek election as the next Tax Commissioner of Fayette County. All donations will be used for campaign expenses such as signs, t-shirts, advertising, fees, etc.
