We offer 4 levels of Choir (including honors levels courses) Keyboarding I & II, and Pop Music I & II.
The Concert Choir class focuses on academic training and performance techniques crucial to success and achievement in concert setting .
Goals: Develop the voice; strengthen music comprehension; and perform quality literature from a wide variety of genres
Concepts Explored: ensemble singing, music theory, peer-critique evaluation, independent part singing, choral rehearsing , written analysis, sight-singing and music appreciation and history
Performances: Holiday and Spring Concerts, Graduation, Homecoming, as well as various other co-curricular performances.

The Popular Music course is a study of American music from about the mid 1800's to the late 1900's
The class focuses on helping students to think more creatively about the music they listen to in order to become a more critical listener of music
Students will study the most significant styles of genres of music in America and explore the importance of popular music throughout each decade
Concepts include musical style, form, cultural significance, and historical impact thru time

Musical Keyboarding I is an introduction to the basic concepts and fundamentals necessary for piano/keyboard performance and technique
Each individual will work at his/her own pace, and receive individual attention as he/she completes each musical lesson
The class focuses on many different lessons of varying song literature in several fingering positions. As students advance, they begin to explore more difficult literature ad they practice good playing habits and study music composition
Musical Keyboarding II provides students the opportunity to continue to develop piano performance skills at an advanced level
Each individual will work at his/her own pace. Instruction will be tailored to their needs while they expand their abilities on technique, music theory skills, finger agility and performances practice.
