1. What inspired you to run for office at 18 years old?
I’ve always been passionate about leadership, serving others, and advocating for change. Through my experiences in school, student leadership, caand community initiatives, I’ve developed a strong desire to represent my peers and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.
2. What leadership experience do you have?
I’ve held numerous leadership roles, including Student Council President, FBLA President, Drum Major, SOWEGA CCA Student CEO, Senior Class President, Youth Council Mayor, and National League of Cities Youth Representative. These positions have prepared me to effectively lead, listen, and make impactful decisions for our community.
3. How do you plan to balance your age with the responsibilities of the role?
Age does not define the ability to lead. My extensive leadership experience and commitment to hard work ensure I am ready to handle the challenges of this position. I also value collaboration and will work closely with seasoned mentors and advisors to make informed decisions.
4. How will you balance your college studies and responsibilities as an elected official?
I have a clear plan to manage both commitments. With strong time management skills and a solid support system, I will prioritize my responsibilities to the community while pursuing my education. My college schedule will be designed to ensure I remain accessible and engaged in my duties.

As a young candidate, I bring fresh energy, creativity, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing today’s youth and families. I aim to bridge the gap between generations by addressing issues like education, public safety, and opportunities for youth engagement.
6. What are your top priorities if elected?
Education & Youth Development: Strengthening programs that empower students and prepare them for success.
Public Safety: Ensuring our community remains safe while fostering trust between law enforcement and residents.
Community Engagement: Promoting initiatives that involve all generations in decision-making processes.
7. How will you connect with older voters?
I understand the importance of intergenerational collaboration. I’ll actively listen to their concerns, show respect for their experiences, and work on policies that benefit all age groups. My goal is to represent everyone in our community, regardless of age.

As a younger candidate, I may face skepticism about my experience. However, I plan to address this by showcasing my leadership track record, listening to community concerns, and demonstrating my commitment to making a positive impact.

Through regular town halls, social media updates, and direct conversations with residents, I’ll maintain transparency and open communication. I also plan to create advisory councils to involve diverse voices in decision-making.

I want to inspire and empower young people by creating opportunities for them to engage in local government, through youth advisory councils, mentorship programs, and initiatives that amplify their voices in policymaking.
