Elect Angela Doyle Elnora Gavin for Benton Harbor School Board - Vote Sept 29 to Nov 8
I stand before you seeking the position of Benton Harbor Area School Board Trustee because I believe that our children are our PRESENT. I fully intend to invest in practical efforts that will equip students now to become the highest versions of themselves today, so that our grandchildren can step into a future that delivers self-reliant scholars prepared to sustain culture-rich neighborhoods within a healthy society for the next 7 generations.
At nausea, we’ve watched politicians neglect ready solutions while boldly siding with greedy for-profit interests that exploit public schools by distracting from student learning, dividing communities with false narratives, dismissing the critical needs of our educators and youth, and delaying vital solutions in brutal attempts to promote chaos that devalues the worth of our land and its people.
I am laser-focused on education justice and have demonstrated the courage, foresight, faith, and vision to empower our educational institutions to withstand the most formidable threats. With your governing support, working together, we can develop student-centered policies that create a thriving learning environment. This renewed districtwide culture and climate will inspire our students, staff, alumnae, and communities to reclaim and rebuild a healthy school system that we can believe in - a school system that collaborates with community partners who honor and value the whole child within our care. Yes, we have work to do, and collectively, our mustard seeds of faith combined with consistent wise action are all we need in order to move the mountains before us into momentous stepping stones beneath us. Catch the Vision!!
