If you want a durable, wired headset that plugs directly into any school device for remote work or classroom use, choose ELECDER i37; if you need a soft, wireless sleep companion with Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity for toddlers, choose ZHENYEMEI Kids.
• ELECDER i37: Best strength is its universal 3.5mm compatibility and rugged on-ear design; biggest trade-off is the lack of wireless freedom. This pick is for older kids, teens, and students who need a reliable connection for schoolwork or remote learning sessions.
• ZHENYEMEI Kids: Best strength is its ultra-soft headband and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless capability; biggest trade-off is the specialized sleep-mask form factor that limits general utility. This pick is for toddlers and young children needing safe volume control during naps, travel, or bedtime stories.
The ELECDER i37 is built as a straightforward, functional tool rather than a luxury item. Its primary design philosophy centers on reliability and ease of use for school-aged children. The headphones feature an on-ear placement with plush earpieces that sit comfortably over the ears without fully enclosing them. This open design allows sound isolation through physical fit rather than active noise cancellation, which is often preferred in classrooms where situational awareness is necessary. The unit weighs just 5.6 ounces, making it light enough for a child to carry in a backpack or suitcase without adding significant bulk.
Connectivity is where this product truly shines for practical daily use. It utilizes a standard L-shaped stereo plug with a 3.5 mm jack, ensuring it works with almost every device currently in circulation. Whether you are connecting to a Chromebook, a PC, a tablet, a smartphone, or even a DVD player, the ELECDER i37 requires no pairing process or battery charging. You simply plug it in, and it works immediately. This makes it an excellent choice for families managing multiple devices or for teachers who need to quickly distribute audio gear to students without worrying about Bluetooth pairing failures or dead batteries.

The foldable design adds another layer of portability. The headphones can be collapsed down to fit easily into small spaces, such as a car cup holder or a tight corner of a school bag. The dynamic driver handles a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, delivering clear audio suitable for educational videos, language learning apps, and casual gaming. However, because it is a wired device, there is zero mobility once plugged in. If you are looking for a wireless solution to move around freely while on a video call or playing a game, this model will feel restrictive. It is best suited for stationary activities like homework, watching movies on a tablet, or listening to audiobooks during a commute where the user stays seated.
The ZHENYEMEI Kids headphone takes a completely different approach by merging a sleep mask with a wearable audio device. Designed specifically for toddlers and younger children, its most defining feature is the soft headband construction made from silk-like material. Unlike traditional hard-plastic cups that can squeeze a child's head, this band distributes pressure evenly across the top of the head and rests gently over the ears. This "zero ear pressure" design is critical for long-duration wear, whether a child is taking a nap, sleeping overnight, or enduring a long airplane flight. The adjustable hook-and-loop strap accommodates head circumferences ranging from 44 cm to 60 cm, ensuring a secure fit that won't slip off during restless sleep.
Wireless freedom is the other major selling point here. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 technology, these headphones offer a fast and stable connection to compatible devices, eliminating the tangle of cords that often frustrate parents. The ability to switch between wireless mode and a wired 3.5 mm connection provides versatility; you can listen wirelessly at home or connect via cable on planes where in-flight entertainment systems might not support Bluetooth. Additionally, the product features a safe volume limit designed to protect little ears, a crucial safety feature for parents concerned about hearing damage. The removable electronic modules also make cleaning easy, allowing the fabric parts to be hand-washed below 40°C without damaging the internal components.
However, the form factor dictates specific use cases. Because the earpieces are integrated into a soft eye-covering mask, this product is not ideal for active play or standing up and moving around. It is strictly a passive-use device meant for sitting, lying down, or traveling while resting. The lack of active noise cancellation means ambient sounds will still be heard, though the soft material may dampen some external noise. If your goal is to have a child wear headphones while they run around a playground or engage in high-energy activities, this design is too fragile and loose for that purpose. It excels in quiet environments where comfort and safety are the priority over durability or active engagement.

In my opinion, the ELECDER i37 is the superior choice for anyone seeking a gaming headset for remote work or a reliable wireless headphones for remote work alternative for school-age children. Its wired simplicity ensures it never fails when a connection matters most, and the foldable design makes it perfect for travel. While the ZHENYEMEI Kids is a clever innovation for toddlers, its specialized sleep-mask form factor limits its utility for general use. I would buy the ELECDER i37 for a child who needs a dependable audio solution for education and entertainment, knowing it will work instantly with any device without needing to charge or pair.
Yes, the ELECDER i37 is excellent for remote work or classes due to its direct 3.5mm plug, which guarantees instant connection to laptops and PCs without Bluetooth lag or pairing issues. The ZHENYEMEI Kids is less suitable for active remote work as it is designed primarily for sleep and passive listening.
Yes, the ZHENYEMEI Kids includes a nonstandard battery and requires charging for wireless Bluetooth use, whereas the ELECDER i37 is powered entirely by the connected device and has no battery to manage.
The ZHENYEMEI Kids features built-in safe volume control specifically designed to protect little ears, making it the safer choice for toddlers compared to the standard output of the ELECDER i37.
