English 9

This is a literature survey course combined with essential skills in language, reading, writing, and speaking for Language/Communication Arts at the ninth grade level. This class covers essential habits and study and testing skills and practice. Paragraph strategy is introduced and practiced, as well as the identification and development of support for a thesis.

The course is written to align with state standards and will challenge students to critically think, speak, and write about literature and life.
