Personality:

People often describe me as an extrovert, though I believe it really depends on the company I’m with! I love learning new languages, meeting people from all walks of life, and hearing about their journeys and adventures. Exploring different cultures from around the world fascinates me and broadens my perspective.

Cooking is another passion of mine—I enjoy experimenting with cuisines from around the globe (though baking isn’t quite my forte!). I also make it a point to stay active, whether it’s running, hitting the gym, or trying out new sports.

Academic Journey:

I am a senior postdoctoral researcher currently based at the University of Bonn, Germany. My research focuses on scattering amplitudes, the mathematical structure of Feynman integrals, cross-section computations for phenomenology, and the fascinating interplay between scattering amplitudes and gravity.

Originally from India, I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Delhi in 2014 and went on to earn my Master’s degree from The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, in 2016. I obtained my Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Mainz, Germany, in October 2019, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Stefan Weinzierl.

Following my Ph.D., I undertook a postdoctoral position at the Institute of Particle Physics Phenomenology (IPPP), Durham, UK, for a year. I then relocated to the University of Turin, Italy, to complete my first postdoc with Prof. Simon Badger. Subsequently, I spent six months at LPTHE (Sorbonne University) in Paris, France, working with Dr. Hua-Sheng Shao.

In May 2023, I began a five-year postdoctoral position with Claude Duhr at the University of Bonn, where I am continuing to explore and contribute to the field of theoretical physics.

I participated in the exchange programme called ‘Deutsch-französisches Doktorandenkolleg zur theoretischen Elementarteilchenphysik’ which provided me with an opportunity to carry out research at the Institute Physical Théorique (IPhT), Saclay, France from 01/10/2019–31/10/2018.

Technical skills

I am proficient in using Mathematica, Git, and LaTeX, and I have extensive experience with software tools such as PolyLogTools, GiNaC, FiniteFlow, KIRA, FIRE, and REDUZE. Additionally, I have some experience with Bash, C++, Python, and Maple.

Recently, I have started working with MadGraph, exploring its potential as a tool for computing cross-sections for phenomenological applications.

Language skills

My mother tongue is Hindi, and I can understand several other Indian languages. I am fluent in English and can hold moderate conversations in Italian. I studied German for three years and have a basic understanding of French. Additionally, I possess very basic knowledge of Russian.
