Agriculture
Farming involves large and small livestock but on a smaller scale due to decreased grazing areas. Crops are mainly mahangu, sorghum, jugo beans and white beans. Other crops are pumpkins, watermelons, calabash, nuts and other.
Business Activities
Entrepreneurship involves sales of basic commodities and liquor. There are a several millet processors as well.
Education
There is a combined school that offer primary and junior secondary education.
Health
Basic health services are offered by a modern clinic which replaced a thatched hut clinic. Before the modern clinic was built, Mrs Mukwanamba yaKatokelwa and Mr Shikukumwa who are Ekoka and Oidiva village residents respectively were the first medical service providers.
Religion
Christianity is the only practiced religion in the village ever known.
