It's a different approach than Criminal Minds: Evolution. Although they are both continuations of popular franchises, Criminal Minds: Evolution is largely focused on the returning actors. New additions to the cast are used in a supporting capacity or as villains, rather than as co-leads, as CSI: Vegas has tried to do. With the arrival of Sanders looming, there may be a renewed focus on the characters that started it all.

Many CSI fans are excited to see Greg again and watch more of his rapport with Catherine, so adding him to the cast is a great boost for CSI: Vegas as it returns from hiatus. The fact that Szmanda's guest stint is for multiple episodes suggests that the show has an ongoing plan for him, which would give Season 2 a new subplot to deal with. The midseason finale "In The White Room" ended with a new villain on the loose and watching the crime lab. Greg can help move that plot forward as it seems like a story that could continue all the way to the end of Season 2.

Cage turns on his threatening villain energy in the role. Cage has played villains in films Kiss of Death, Vampire's Kiss, Mom and Dad and half of Face/Off before he swapped with John Travolta.

Helgenberger is back as Catherine in Season 2. The first season saw Gil and Sara return to their old stomping ground when their friend and former colleague, Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), was attacked and Hodges ended up the prime suspect in the season-long case. In the series premiere, we learned Catherine was in Dublin (with her grandchild). So what will bring her back to Vegas? Will it be the new villain introduced in the Season 1 finale? Could it be connected to one of her old cases? Could it be another case that brings her to Vegas, then she decides to stick around to help out at the Crime Lab?

As you can see from the aerial shot below, in terms of the remoteness of its location, Teller's house makes Penn's look positively suburban; as to the former, we'll specify only as to its being located "somewhere in the hills, on the outskirts of Las Vegas." Like his sidekick's place of residence, Teller's is a custom-designed fantasy pad with that distinct air, from the outside, of being the secret lair of an evil-genius James Bond villain; inside, as he put it in a 2007 interview with USA Today>, "This house is a reflection of everything I wanted back when I was 12. I love this house because it's honest. If you see a floor that looks like concrete, that's because it is concrete. But, ah, on the other hand, nothing is what it seems."

Key hand: Blinds 400/800/200. Stack about 38K. Dealt Tc8c, in the BB and was limped around to me, and check. flop was 9cJc8d. Villain to my left was short stack and pushing all in past 3 hands and doubled up on last hand. I semi bluff 1/2 pot with my monster straight, flush draw, with possible 2 pair outs as well. Villain moves all in again. Calling would put ~60% of stack at risk. I make the call, villain turns over A/J for top top. Did not hit any of my 20 outs and my stack is severely cut. Card dead and playing short stacked with escalating blinds, raised to 3BB with J/J with only 10 BB left. BB defended. All in on flop and BB hit his Q on the flop and out.

The only reason why I played at MGM was because we were staying there and I did not feel like walking to Aria or Venetian late at night. Played 1-2 at a table with loose aggressive tourists. One big hand of the night. EP raises to $8 pre and I call on the button with A/K. Flop is Q/J/T rainbow, and villain bets out pot on the flop, call, bets pot on the turn card of 3 , I call, he shoves on river of 8, I call and win his stack. Up almost $200 for the session

Then Rosa betrays Ben by informing Williams of him and Williams beats Ben up and then frees him with a deadly warning. When Ben returns to MIT, he learns that he's been given an incomplete grade in a class, which hurts his graduation, and all his winnings and money have been stolen from his room. He knows Rosa is behind all this but can't prove it and makes amends with his blackjack friends and then makes a deal with Rosa of returning to Las Vegas for one last attempt before the casinos put in biometric software, that will hunt card counters down if Rosa, who was a great big player, also plays with them.

Vegas is one of the worst cities, in terms of the sheer number of villains. The city itself employs unsponsored tinkers and thinkers to monitor the various venues, ensuring that everything is above board.

The Las Vegas Protectorate heroes are described as flamboyant and attention-grabbing, in contrast to the general discreetness of the villains. The Vegas team is mostly made up of 'strategists, charlatans, and borderline scoundrels', as they are more likely to think in the same manner as the villains they are trying to foil.[3]

The city has fallen into a vicious cycle exists where a team of villains will pull a successful job, cause catastrophic damage, and see venues shut down. This encourages more villains to appear and do the same. Because of this, the strip is slowly dying.[7] 2351a5e196
