Make sure you drive PAST the overpass and remind your uber drivers to do the same.
Their GPS has a tendency to drop you BEFORE going through the overpass.

Community Map
When you come to the Vela Tempe property, you have 2 parking options.
You can park at the Vela Surface Parking Lot for free, which is first come, first served basis or in the Garage.
You can park in the garage for $7/day by scanning the QR code on the poster in the garage.
If you need garage parking or the surface lot is closed, loop around the Town Lake marina until you get to the “entrance” on our map. Park temporarily by the curb and follow instructions to go inside your apartment to retrieve the garage opener/fob.
Once you have the fob, please drive your car back to the surface lot to the garage gate. Your fob should open the garage gate and proceed to the garage.
You should see a parking tree QR code. You can park in the garage for $7/day. To get a digital permit, scan the QR code. Note that unauthorized/unregistered vehicles may be towed, ticketed or booted at owner's expense. Once done parking, you may use the elevators available inside the garage to get to your unit.
FOR ELECTRONIC VEHICLES:
Charging stations are available in both the garage and the front parking lot. For garage users, vehicle registration is required via the Parking Tree system, and we kindly request refraining from parking in designated reserved spots.

Note: Town Lake closes at 10pm-5am each day so park temporarily in the surface lot if you arrive after 10pm while you go grab the garage opener fobs. Town Lake marina does not allow overnight parking and may issue you a ticket if you do so.
BUILDING (B) ENTRANCE:
Head to the building entrance and, if necessary, take the elevator to reach your unit. Once there, grab your fob and park your vehicle in the garage.
1. Once you’ve arrived at the property, please make your way to the “Entrance of Building B" on our map.
2. "Entrance" - refer to your map and you should see a call box.
3. Go up to call box at the entrance
4. You will see the entrance with a call box like below. Please press “#” and then 2759 to unlock the building gate.
5. From there you are inside the complex and you can use the map to find your unit. There are also signs throughout the building that point you in the right direction.
Note if you are on the 5th floor, just go in the gate, turn right, and use the pool area elevator to go straight to level 5.
6. Find your smart code - This property is equipped with a smart lock that generates a code just for your stay! Your RemoteLock code can be found in the same message/email containing the link to these check-in instructions.
7. To unlock your room, enter the code on the keypad and it should automatically open the smartlock.
Autolock and closing the door: the lock autolocks after 30 seconds. To manually lock the lock from the outside, you can hit the lock button on the lower right of the lock keypad.

Neighbors - Please be respectful of our neighbors and please do not throw parties or cause loud noise of any kind. Note that the community quiet hours are 9pm-8am.
*Excessive noise (especially at night) or community disturbance of any kind will result in a loss of security deposit and potential eviction from property without a refund.
***Building quiet hours start at 9PM each night. You may be asked to vacate if noise level rises beyond a normal conversation. Keep in mind this is a residential community, and please be respectful of all our neighbors. No smoking in the unit or anywhere in building.
No smoking – This building is a smoke-free community. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the building, including the roof area, the garage, patio, and other common areas.
Please smoke outside the property grounds; by the Town Lake riverfront a couple minutes away is an excellent place to do it.

Community Amenities:
Pool and outdoor community area – a nice pool, heated jacuzzi, resort styled cabanas, BBQ grills, pool tables, outdoor TVs, various yard games are here! You need the keyfob that we put in each unit to access these amenities. The fob is located right next to the door; loss of the keyfob will result in a $200 fine. These things cost an arm and leg to replace.
Gym and lounge – you can locate the gym and the lounge on the 3rd floor and the fob will open both of them. There is an upscale coffee machine in the lounge that makes great cappuccinos and the gym is very well stocked. The lounge also has a patio facing the river that is just awesome at sunset or sunrise – it’s where we got our profile photo!
Surf shop – you can rent different items at the surf shop to properly enjoy Town Lake and watersports! It’s right downstairs.
Unit Details:
TV – Comes with complimentary Smart-TV - comes with streaming apps installed! Of course, we have local live TV channels as well since we are a sports town.
Fiber internet – We have high speed commercial 100mbps internet for all of our guests! This is perfect for working from home and extended stays.
Air Conditioning/heating – The unit has central AC and heating for you to enjoy .
Sofa Bed (if available for your room configuration) – Please feel free to use the futon/sofa bed to sleep on. The bedding/towel set for the futon are in the bedroom closets. Please cover the futon with the fitted sheet if you decide to sleep on it.
Bathroom - The bathroom has complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap.
Kitchen/drinking water – There are Brita or Pur water pitchers in fridge and the kitchen is fully stocked!
Trash – Please refrain from leaving trash outside unit doors to avoid building violations. This action violates our building regulations and may result in penalties. Utilize trash chutes on each floor - check our community map for location. Remember to break down bulky items such as boxes, before putting it to the recycling chute. For Building A Units - 1003, 1005, 2005, 3003 & 3010 - You can use your fob to go to the ground floor and walk down the hall and to the side of the building. The dumpsters will be there.
Upon the end of your visit, please simply check out by turning off all the lights, AC, and making sure the front doors are locked. We are trying to stay environmentally friendly :)
Check in/out – Please note that check in times are 4pm or later and check out times are 11am or earlier (There is a late check out penalty fee). This is because the cleaning team has to arrive in this time window to refresh the home before the next guest arrives. For the convenience of other guests, please respect these check-in and check-out times.
***Note: the lock code becomes active starting at 4PM on the day of CHECK-IN and is deactivated at 11AM on the day of CHECK-OUT.
Everything is a short 10-15 minute Uber ride or drive away since we are super centrally located! Try the electric dockless scooters for an awesome experience by the river.

Desert Botanical Garden - (9 min drive; 3.5 miles) Desert garden with 50,000 plants spread over 140 acres, also offering to dine, a gift shop & library.
Phoenix Zoo - (8 min drive; 3.0 miles) 125 acres of animal exhibits, including a children's area & petting zoo, plus a narrated tram ride.
Papago Park - (5 min drive; 2.1 miles) Expansive hiking & picnicking area that includes the Phoenix Zoo & famed Hole-in-the-Rock formation.
Hole in the Rock - (10 min drive; 3.2 miles) Hiking area. Landmark rock formation with multiple cavelike holes in the sandstone created by erosion.
Riverview Park - (8 min drive; 4.5 miles) Extensive play area in a public park with climbing structures, shaded picnic areas & a splash pad.
