Designing Tech for Social Impact

INFO 4240: Designing Technologies for Social Impact. This course focuses on the social impact and implications of the technologies we imagine and design. Multiple theories are emphasized, including:

Newfield School District Virtual Academy

Part of INFO 4940: Human-Centered Design and Engaged Media. Collaborated with Newfield Central School District's Virtual Academy to address declining public school enrollment. Developed both print and digital promotional materials, created marketing collateral to promote the program, and designed tools for gathering insights and planning future initiatives.

Bechdel Test in Film

Using a publicly available dataset, analyzed how and if a movie's rating, genre, and release date correlate with whether or not it passes the Bechdel Test.
