Privacy Policy for Einbürgerungstest – Citizenship Test App
Last updated: November 2025
Thank you for using Einbürgerungstest – Citizenship Test (“the App”). This Privacy Policy describes what data the App processes, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this simple, transparent, and compliant with Google Play policies and applicable laws such as the GDPR.
By using the App, you agree to the processing described below.
1) Who we are
Developer: Morteza Arifi
Contact: Morteza.deepai@gmail.com
If you have any privacy questions, please contact us at Morteza.deepai@gmail.com
2) What data we process
The App is designed to work primarily offline and store data locally on your device. We do not create user accounts and we do not collect personally identifiable information.
App preferences: interface language, selected Bundesland (federal state), translation language settings
Learning data: progress, number of questions answered correctly/incorrectly, favorites, last study position
Consent choices: your advertisement consent selections (e.g., personalized vs. non-personalized ads)
Where stored: on your device only.
We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, IP address (by us), precise location, usage analytics, or crash reports.
3) Purpose and legal bases
We process the data above to:
provide core functionality (show questions, save progress and preferences)
respect your ad consent choices
Legal bases under GDPR:
Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) for essential app functionality
Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for advertising personalization via Google UMP/AdMob
You can withdraw consent at any time in the consent settings inside the App.
4) Advertising and third-party services
The App uses the following Google services:
Google AdMob (ads)
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent management
These services may collect device and usage information to deliver, measure, or limit ads in accordance with Google’s policies and your consent choices. Examples include ad identifiers, device information, coarse location, and diagnostic signals that Google may process on its own systems.
We do not directly share any personal data with advertisers. Ad serving and any related data collection are handled by Google as an independent controller according to their policies and your consent.
5) Data storage and retention
App preferences, progress, and consent choices are stored locally on your device.
We do not maintain server copies of your learning data.
Third-party retention: Any data processed by Google (e.g., for ads) is retained according to Google’s own retention policies.
6) Your choices and rights
Manage consent: Open the App’s consent settings to change ad personalization or withdraw consent.
Delete local data: Clear the App’s storage in your device settings, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.
GDPR rights: Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability. Because we do not keep server-side copies of your learning data, most actions can be completed by you directly (clear storage/uninstall). For AdMob/UMP data processed by Google, please refer to Google’s privacy resources or your device’s ad settings.
7) International transfers
We do not store your learning data on our servers. Third-party providers like Google may process data on servers located outside your country. Such transfers are handled by Google under their own compliance frameworks.
8) Security
Local data: stored on your device using the security mechanisms provided by your operating system.
Network: The App does not transmit your learning data to our servers. Third-party SDK traffic (e.g., ads, consent) is handled by Google using its own security controls.
Despite these measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or third‑party services. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
