I'm an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Kansas.
Most of my research is in the philosophy of mathematics. My main projects are (1) at the intersection of issues concerning mathematical knowledge and mathematical truth, and (2) on the ontology of abstract objects.
I teach in a wide range of areas of metaphysics and epistemology. Occasionally I also teach courses in the history of philosophy.
I've received some recognition in the broader profession. The American Philosophical Association created an award in 2022 to recognize my service to the profession, and one of my papers was the runner-up for the 2026 Sanders Prize in Metaphysics.

I earned my PhD from the UCLA philosophy department, under the supervision of Tony Martin. My BA is from Notre Dame, where I double-majored in pure math and philosophy. I also spent an undergraduate year as a visiting student in maths and philosophy at New College, Oxford.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and am a dual citizen of the US and Ireland. I like the great outdoors.
