Purpose:
To intentionally spend time growing in God's Word
To unify as an eighth-grade class
Timeline:
Wednesday, November 5
Depart BJA at 7:30 AM
Drive to the Wilds
Spend the day at the Wilds learning more about God and participating in fun activities
Thursday, November 6
Spend the day at the Wilds learning more about God and participating in fun activities
Friday, November 7
Depart from the Wilds at 12 noon
Eat lunch/fun activity on the road
Arrive at BJA by 3:10 PM
Trip Cost:
The trip and all meal fees are included in tuition. (Please eat breakfast before school on Wednesday morning.)
A suggested amount to bring for snacks, crafts, and souvenirs is $50. (This is optional and not required for the trip.)

Packing List:
(Please pack lightly for one medium-sized suitcase or one duffel bag. Label all items with your child's name.)
Light jacket/hoodie
Tops: any top that is appropriate and fits within school policy (suggestion: 5 tops for the three days)
Bottoms: jeans, athletic pants, sweat pants, or shorts that fit within school policy (no rips, shorts may be up to 4" above the knee) (suggestion: 5 bottoms for the three days)
Pajama bottoms, leisurewear are for dorms only
Students whose dress does not comply with BJA policy will be kindly asked to change.
Medication needs to be brought in the original container. Place the medication in a labeled gallon Ziploc bag and give it to our nurse at the Acad Corner, the morning of departure. (medication form must be filled out; link below)
Toiletries (including soap and shampoo)
Trash bag for wet/dirty clothes
Flashlight
2 towels and 1 twin-sized sheet set with blanket or sleeping bag
Pillow
Closed-toe comfortable shoes (required for zip lining/hiking, etc.)
Water Shoes (Crocs)
Bible, notebook, pen
Suggested amount of money for the craft shop, coffee, snack shop, clothing items, books ($50)
Small bag to carry on the bus with essentials
No electronics: including phones, smartwatches, or gaming devices
Reusable water bottle and snacks
For the bus ride: Water only with a screw-on cap; dry snacks only (nuts, crackers, chips) (No sticky snacks or chocolate)

Parent Service Chaperone Role:
Since we will be at camp with the Wilds' staff members, we will not need parent chaperones. Students with food allergies or medical needs may have their parent accompany them.
Important Dates:
October 13: Students will choose a partner for the bus ride and dorm room bunk arrangements.
October 27: The intended room assignments will be sent to parents via email.
November 5: Arrive at school by 7:00 AM. Bring the medication form with any needed medication in the original container. Place the medication in a labeled gallon Ziploc bag and give it to our nurse at the Acad Corner.
