Coaches
We have an incredible coaching staff whose job it is to develop the players, develop the team, help develop young men for the real world, give them the best experience possible - NEED “BUY IN” from the players and Parents. Everyone's experience is different, that is why you need team buy in.
Season Expectations
Expectations are very high. We will have the strongest depth team.
Work hard in the off Season. Come prepared to compete for a Job - Plenty of Options to Train around here - Brower and NLB, Mash among others - Tryouts do matter in the eyes of the coaches.Everyone needs to get - Bigger - Stronger - Faster - More Athletic
Seniors may get priority for the opportunity to win a job in the first 8-10 games. Whether you are on JV or Varsity - If you're hitting and we need a bat we will go down to JV if no one has grabbed the job on Varsity Roster.
Goals (we will have) vs. Standards is how we carry ourselves for the TEAM - On the Field, in the Classroom, School, Games and in the Community
Code of Conduct - Drinking - Drugs - Behavior - Do Not Embarrass the Program - Coaches determine additional penalties. Handled each on a Case by Case basis - In Public - You can heavily impact a young players future in baseball/Life - Body Language and being on time matters a lot
Players & Parent Season Expectation Contract
Meet with the Players - When we make the Teams - After 10 Games - Whole Team before Sections Start - so Everyone knows where they stand as a group.
Season is glorified scrimmages: 10 game mark try things - 15 game mark closer to setting line-up - 17 game mark - Line-up we will go into playoffs with
Coaches & Players - YOU WILL : Care for your teammates - Accept your roll - do it for your Teammates - “Buy In” - Without it nothing positive can happen
Parents: Encourage your player to come talk to Coaches
Player sets up meeting - No Emails or Text
Parents - Be great in the stands - Get to know one another - Be Inclusive - We encourage pre Games - Don’t talk about your kid - Don’t be negative in the stands - We don’t win with bad attitude parents in the stands - Positive energy impact - Buy in to what the coaches are doing. Enjoy your son’s Season - Compliment Players - IF YOU CAN”T DO THAT - Stay Home and watch on GameChanger. It’s easy to show Coaches you’re mad - Energy Suckers - Won’t do it Anymore!
Captain's Parents leadership has delivered the past 3 years! 2 Trips to CHS - It matters
Mental Health
Meeting before Tryouts as a group and before Sections - Resource for the players - Create relationships if you choose and sign of strength. Many High end athletes have a Mental Health Coach.
The Activities Department also has resources with Premier Sports Psychology. Contact Troy Stein with inquiries.

How your Player can prepare this winter
Hitting - Athletic Stance - Good shoulder Placement - Get Started on Time - Connect the hands and Spin through the zone - Still head - Get to a Balance Finish - On Top - In Play Vs. Fly balls - Balls on Ground - Catch, Throw and Catch vs. just 1 thing Catch
Pitching - NO MAX OUT DAY at Brower - Too Many injuries and Set Backs from years past
Fielding: Footwork - Step over and not behind or shuffle - Timing your feet up - footwork toward where you are throwing.
Captains Practices starting in December – Optional - Try to make it is you can. The Captains will communicate dates, location and times via Group Me’s
We are looking forward to a great season!
