This is an excerpt from one of Kamose's stelae at Thebes, where he mentions the involvement of the Medjay in his campaign against an Asiatic people, the Alamu. During the Second Intermediate period, when Egypt had ceased to be a unified state, Medjay soldiers fought with Theban kings, including Kamose, playing a role in the eventual reunification of Egypt.
