Welcome! Thank you for your interest and support in the EGST Club.
Our Club is made up of PCC Scholars and Creators - dedicated to fostering cultural diversity awareness while helping to ensure safe, inclusive spaces for all students.
As such, we are proud to promote PCC's EGTSS Program Courses and we are eager to share our experiences with the variety of courses available. Discover diverse worldviews and experiences through EGTSS courses, that include courses like The African Diaspora (AFA130), Introduction to American Indian Studies or Tohono O'odham History and Culture (AIS122) or History and Culture of the Yaqui People (AIS124).
There are three dynamic Gender and Women's Studies (GWS) Courses: Introduction to Feminist Studies (GWS100), La Chicana (GWS201) and Sexuality, Gender & Culture (MAS219)
Along with La Chicana (Spring only), also offered under Mexican American Studies - is Mexican American Community, Culture & Identity (MAS165) and Mexican American Culture (MAS219).
The EGTSS Program Courses also include all of your Sociology classes, including Introduction to Sociology (SOC101), Introduction to Cities & Global Societies (Spring only) (SOC110), Race, Ethnicity, Minority Groups & Social Justice (SOC201) and Human Sexuality (SOC215).
Please be sure to check out the full list of available EGTSS Courses and the associated Ethnic, Gender, & Transborder Studies/Sociology Scholarships that are available elsewhere on our site!
Before we became an actual "Club", we started off with the EGTSS Program supporting the PTK Cultural Diversity Awareness Film Screening Series. Then as you will see in Jaymes' Testimonio - we soon came to understand the intersectionality of the PTK Film Screening Initiative and the Ethnic, Gender, Transborder Studies Sociology Program. After realizing this connection we wanted to find a way to enthusiastically support the EGTSS Discipline and its associated courses. And now here we are!
