2. Information We Collect: We collect information in the following ways:
•Information You Provide Directly:
◦Academic Data: When you use the App, you provide information such as subject names, grades, grade weights, tags associated with grades (e.g., "test," "quiz," "homework"), notes, homework details (including descriptions and due dates), and your chosen grading system. This information is stored locally on your device.
◦Feedback: If you choose to send feedback via email, we will collect your email address and the content of your feedback.
•Automatically Collected Information (primarily for Advertising and App Functionality):
◦Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with the App, such as features used and frequency of use. This data is generally aggregated and anonymized.
◦Device Information: Our third-party advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect device information such as your device model, operating system version, IP address, and advertising identifiers (like Google Advertising ID). This is used for serving ads and for ad personalization if you consent.
•Information from Third Parties:
◦Advertising Partners (Google AdMob): We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the App. AdMob may collect and use information as described in their policies to provide personalized or non-personalized ads. We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to gather your consent for data collection for advertising purposes in relevant regions (e.g., GDPR).
3. How We Use Your InformationWe use the information we collect for various purposes:
•To Provide and Maintain the App: To store and manage your academic data (grades, subjects, notes, homework), calculate averages, and enable app features like reminders. All your core academic data is stored locally on your device.

•To Provide Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and feedback.
•For Advertising: To display advertisements within the App through Google AdMob. If you consent, these ads may be personalized based on your data. You can manage your consent preferences through the consent form provided via Google's User Messaging Platform.
•Backup and Restore: To allow you to create local backups of your data and restore it if needed. This process is user-initiated, and the backup files are stored where you choose on your device or cloud storage.
•To Comply with Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws and regulations
4. How We Share Your Information: We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
•With Third-Party Service Providers (Advertising):
◦Google AdMob: We share information (such as your advertising ID and IP address) with Google AdMob to display ads. Google's use of this data is governed by its own privacy policies. You can learn more about Google's advertising policies here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

•User-Initiated Sharing (Backups): When you use the backup feature, you are choosing where to save your data file, and sharing is under your control.Your core academic data (grades, subjects, notes) is stored locally on your device and is not automatically shared with us or third parties, except as described above for advertising or user-initiated actions
5. Advertising and Consent: We use Google AdMob to serve ads. In regions where required by law (like the EEA and UK under GDPR), we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent for the collection and use of your data for personalized advertising.
•If you consent to personalized ads, AdMob will use your data to show you ads that are more relevant to you.
•If you do not consent, or if consent is not required in your region, you may still see ads, but they will be non-personalized (contextual). You can typically change your consent preferences at any time through the settings provided in the consent form or potentially within the app (if such a re-consent option is implemented).
6. Data Retention and Deletion

•Object to Processing: You may have the right to object to certain processing activities.
8. Data SecurityWe take reasonable precautions to protect your information. If the App is used by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of consent in their jurisdiction), it should be done with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent if such information is required for features beyond local storage or for personalized advertising.
