EGR CoFit ("the app") helps neighbors in East Grand Rapids, Michigan host and join group fitness sessions. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. The app is operated by Matt Warner ("we," "us").
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive your name and email address. This is used to create and secure your account.
Profile information. You can add a display name, neighborhood, fitness goals, and a profile photo. Your display name, neighborhood, and photo are visible to other signed-in members of the app (for example, in a session's attendee list). Your email address and activity history are never shown to other members.
Session activity. When you host or join a session, that session's details (title, activity, venue, time, attendee list, waitlist) are stored so the app can function. Other signed-in members can see the sessions you host and that you've joined a given session.
Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can notify you about sessions you've joined — for example, host updates, schedule changes, cancellations, and waitlist promotions.
Reports. If you report a session, we store the report (what you reported and why) so we can review it.
We do not collect your location.
We do not use advertising, ad networks, or cross-app tracking.
We do not use third-party analytics.
We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.
If you tap "Add to Calendar," the app asks for write-only calendar access to add that one event. The app cannot read your calendar, and no calendar information leaves your device.
Your data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Messaging), which processes it on our behalf. You can read Google's privacy commitments at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Sign-in is handled by Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In when you choose those options.
Your account data is kept while your account is active. Sessions naturally expire after their scheduled date. Reports are kept as long as needed for moderation.
You can delete your account at any time from the app: Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, your hosted sessions, your spot in any joined sessions or waitlists, and your profile photo. You can also email us (below) and we'll delete your account for you.
EGR CoFit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the app or on this page.
