Steps to perform prior to installation of the eGPU.A- Read this ( -e-gpu-projects/2109-diy-egpu-experiences-%5Bversion-2-0%5D.html)and this ( -e-gpu-projects/3539-guide-dsdt-override-simultaneous-igpu-dgpu-egpu.html)and this ( -e-gpu-projects/7476-%5Bguide%5D-dsdt-override-fix-error-12-a.html#post102517). Also, watch some videos like this ( =ktUw2VTFyX4), this ( ://), and this ( =in2RYwjWFyA).B- Buy the appropriate hardware and software.C- Download and install a graphics driver Uninstaller program to remove old drivers.D- Download the latest drivers for BOTH the laptop and new eGPU.E- Download ( -e-gpu-projects/3539-guide-dsdt-override-simultaneous-igpu-dgpu-egpu.html)and perform a DSDT override if required.F- Install DIY eGPU Setup 1.30 from 'Tech Inferno Fan' if required.

I have just started and trying to get DIY egpu working. I am using GE60 2pf apach pro

currently, i am stuck on position where whenever i try to do any kind of chainload with any option, it will cause 0xc000000e error whenever i try to load windows 10 or 1.30 ,with or without any kind of other modification such as diabling Dgpu.

for my egpu, psu: 700W ModXstream-pro

gpu: gtx 460 as test model (planning to get eVGA FTW 1060 3gb if it works)

my computer specs are listed on my DxDiag screen.

i have followed all the steps that the setup guide provided by using image in administrator mode. I have noticed that I got no PCI BUS so I deleted section with PCI express inside devcon text file.

I have 3 hard drives, 2 ssd and 1 hdd. my windows is installed in DISK 2. all of 3 parts are MBR.

If any more information is needed, Iwill provide. i simply do not know which infos I need to post. Thanks.

i did a DSDT override (endpoint 56.25GB) and have a whitelisted wifi. If i do a undo-whitelisting with DIY eGPU Setup 1.35, successfully. My Nvidia GPU is detected, and i can start Win10 with nandos: PCI compaction 1# - method (endpoint 56.25GB-36b :: eGPU only :: no).

First of all, I must thank the egpu community here for if it wasn't for you. I wouldnt know where to begin. The fast responses and the amount of helpers here are immense. I also happen to be a noob in egpu builds so this is my best attempt of explaining. I also went through some other workarounds before I had to use diy egpu setup 1.35, so there might be a combination of things that helped.

2. Once on windows, I inserted my tb devices to let it detect and update. I refrained from installing any updates from windows updater. So as not to detect my gt750m. At this point my display was the standard vga one.. I shutdown and boot into windows(my mbpr goes straight into windows) this time with my egpu plugged in from start. After a few tries, I got it to detect my 1050ti, I updated it through device manager. On next boot, it popped up a code 12 error. Somehow windows sucessfully updates itself after trying to block it and the 750m pops up. So now I have 1050ti(code 12) and 750m.

You might need to purchase DIY eGPU Setup 1.35. And copy your dsdt.aml file to your mounted Setup 1.35 drive config folder and load up the dsdt.aml file via DIY eGPU Setup 1.35 startup.bat.

I also tried all 3 methods from the all-ways-egpu project to disable my internal/integrated gpu and attempt to force my system to use my dedicated AMD eGPU. They all resulted in either no video output (blank screen), crashing when attempting to login to Gnome, or hard freezing a few seconds after logging in. Before the hard freeze I attempted rocminfo which returned errors which I have experienced previously in this thread.

The scene I've been trying is the BlenderGuru donut tutorial were I've been moving the materials to ProRender. So it has a mix of RPR shaders/materials and native Blender ones. It does work fine on the 5500m dgpu, but not on the egpu.

Great tutorial, however i encountered a performance problem when using exp gdc 8.5c. The thing is gtx 1050ti i use performs badly compared to my dgpu (which is vega 8 ryzen 5 2500u) im using internal monitor from laptop btw. So what i want to ask, is using external monitor fix my performance problem? Or do i need to purchase Nando4evan's egpu setup 1.35 to fix it? Any help would be appreciated, thank you

due to the lower bandwidth of the egpu cable. The cable itself cannot deliver maximum performance in some high end graphics cards(in my case, its around 10-15% performance loss).suppose if u are to use the internal monitor instead, the bandwidth to send and receive data will be extremely low,(around 50-60% performance loss)which, makes the egpu quite useless. e24fc04721
