Technic Launcher Installation
This is the simplest way to download Egocraft. First, you must download the Technic Launcher. The Technic launcher is like any other Minecraft launcher , except it's dedicated to modpacks. After downloading it, running it, and logging into your mc account, you will be met with the launcher. Go to the Modpacks section, go to search, and look up Egocraft, choose either v4 or lightweight (we will take about the differences later). Once you have chosen your modpack, click download. While this downloads, make sure to download the newest version of Java, and install it. Once they are both finished. Click on the top right of your launcher, on Launcher Settings, once there, click on Java Settings, once there, click on Memory, if the max is 1 GB, make sure that the java version on the technic launcher (right above the Memory settings) is the 64 bit version, if not choose it. Otherwise, change it to atleast 3.5, and make sure it's no more than 6. Please never use more than 60% of the amount of ram that your computer has (you can check your RAM by going to settings, system, about this system, and reading the installed memory section). Once this is done, you can now launch the modpack! Once you're in game, please make sure to copy the settings as seen this video. Please make sure to only change settings that I highlight in the video. Now you are done and can join the Server!
Vanilla Installation
The vanilla installation is a fairly simple process. First of all, you must download the full modpack from our repository Download the newest version of either lightweight or the full version. Once you have downloaded the zip, extract it using any program that does so. Once you have the raw files, access your mc files by pressing the windows key and r at the same time, that will open up a run program, in there, type in %appdata% and click Run. Once you're in there, go to the .minecraft folder. After that, go back to your Egocraft folder, go to the bin folder, and open the modpack file, go through the installation with that (mc forge) and once that's done, delete the bin folder. Finally, move in all the other folders into your minecraft folder. Now you can restart your launcher and run the modpack. Once you're in the Minecraft launcher, go to versions, and looked for the unnamed installation with a description that says something along the lines of "forge 1.12.2". Once there, click the 3 dots on the right of the installation, click edit, and scroll down to advanced, scroll down to the bottom and find the JVM Arguments text box. In there it should say "-Xmx2G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M". Change the "2G at the beggining of it to atleast 3.5 (that's the amount of RAM mc will use). Please make sure to never use more than 60% of the ram that your PC has (you can check your RAM by going to settings, system, about this system, and reading the installed memory section). After that, click save, and now you can run the modpack! Once you're in game, please make sure to copy the settings as seen this video. Please make sure to only change settings that I highlight in the video. Now you are done and can join the Server!
