Who Am I and What I Believe

I am running for Town Council to ensure East Gwillimbury's rapid growth is matched by smart community-first planning.

Real progress happens when we invest in each other. I truly believe that a connected community is the foundation for everything.

A community is not just a collection of houses. It is a network of neighbors that connect and know each other, local businesses that can fuel our economy, public services and events that enable the people to come together and celebrate. I believe everyone deserves the peace of mind that comes with feeling safe and having a place you can reliably raise a family or be comfortable thriving in your senior years. When we prioritize community building, we bridge gaps, and invite joy into our lives, from diverse perspectives.

There is a unique local charm that my campaign will focus on preserving. At the same time, I will advocate for actively investing in safe roads, and reliable infrastructure. Together we can build a well-managed Ward 3, that protects our green spaces and supports a thriving local economy, to be enjoyed now, and for our future generations.

Helping to manage my family business (alongside my brothers) in the evenings has allowed me to be a stay-at-home dad during the daytime. Giving me the invaluable asset of time with my daughter, an experience I would not trade for anything in the world. It is that quality time that helped us discover The Family Place and the welcoming community of Mount Albert. That community inspired me to join the Board of Directors of The Family Place so that other new parents can find the same support and community that my daughter and I found. Now that my daughter is nearing school age, I want to use my time to ensure that families just like ours can comfortably and reliably grow in a community they are proud to call home.

Community Events Matter

I would like to ensure we have the opportunity to get together as a town and celebrate. Shared experiences make communities stronger.

Business

East Gwillimbury and specifically Ward 3 should have a focus on attracting new business. The majority of our tax revenue is from property taxes; in order to keep our homes affordable we should be looking to attract business to balance our tax revenue, and keep property taxes low.

Infrastructure and Services

Services such as Wastewater, Electricity, and Internet are vitally important as a community. Investment in these areas needs to be planned properly. These services need to be built into our planning. They cannot be cobbled together after the fact. We need to make sure that businesses providing valuable services respect our homes.

Community Recreation

Ice Rinks help us on those long winter days, and our municipality has tried to provide outdoor rinks, but due to weather, the ice has not always gone 'smoothly'. Locations like these are great for getting the community together, but it needs to be properly maintained. I will have a focus on making sure these winter park amenities are implemented with the proper planning needed to keep them in service for the whole winter.

Park Improvements

We have been building lots of parks and trails. The problem comes when the maintenance is due. Proper budgeting for parks is more than just getting developers to build them. They must be maintained by us. Budgeting for scheduled upkeep of our parks is a must.

Affordable

East Gwillimbury needs to be affordable for everyday families. Everyone feels the burden as cost are rising. As a Councillor, I will vote in favour of keeping costs down for everyone.

Construction

We all agree that fixing our roads is vital, but gridlock and construction delays shouldn't derail your day. I believe in proactive planning, clear timelines, and strict accountability. You deserve to know exactly when a project starts and precisely when it will be finished. By delivering predictable, transparent construction schedules, we can keep East Gwillimbury moving forward and minimize disruptions for busy families.

Cost of Politics

Running for local office should not mean asking hardworking residents to fund a campaign, only to be paid by their tax dollars once elected. I am running a lean, community-driven campaign for Council. Your vote and your voice matter to me-not your money.
Political offices should not be reserved for career politicians. We need working families and everyday residents at the table.

Transparency

Transparency isn't just a political strategy, it is a way of living. When you live an honest, grounded life that you are proud of, being fully transparent with your community comes naturally. That is the approach i bring to my personal life, and it is the exact standard i will bring to East Gwillimbury Council.
