Figure Composition

Course: Communication Design Fundamentals

As the first project of the course, we focused on the form of the square on the page, primarily in a figure-ground context, such as in the image on the left, but also combined with color, to convey contrasting feelings. The lower left pairing represents play vs seriousness, while the pairing that uses purple represents noise vs quiet.

In this project, I worked in Adobe Illustrator, along with analog processes to draft ideas.
