I am José Efraín Osorio Álvarez, an undergraduate Mathematics student at Yachay Tech University. My research interests include are algebraic combinatorics, relational structures, and decision theory. I am working with Franklin Camacho, Ph.D., on Dominance Plausible Rules, studying the necessary conditions over tastes and beliefs. Currently, I am working on my undergraduate thesis in algebraic combinatorics, focusing on Fraïssé species, under the supervision of Miguel Méndez, Ph.D.
I have served as a teaching assistant in Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus (Calculus III at Yachay Tech) and as a research assistant. I have also participated as a speaker in scientific outreach activities, including talks in the Galápagos Islands and virtual academic sessions. In addition, I have taught vacation courses in Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Foundations of Mathematics, and I have participated in academic summer schools such as EMALCA 2025 at Yachay Tech University and the 2026 Summer School at the University of Talca.
I currently serve as President of the Mathematics Club at Yachay Tech University, where I have collaborated in the organization of seminars, short courses, and workshops.
