Research Mission: To elucidate interfacial and redox mechanisms governing contaminant–material interactions and translate this understanding into nano-enabled water treatment systems
Development of nano-enabled water treatment systems using multifunctional materials (e.g., nanohybrids, metal-oxide composites) for efficient removal of emerging contaminants such as PFAS, metals, and organics from complex water matrices
Engineered NanoBioHybrid (NBH) platforms are developed to address nutrient pollution and eutrophication by enabling efficient phosphorus removal, recovery, and reuse from water systems. By integrating nano-based materials with biological processes, these systems enhance selective phosphorus capture while converting waste streams into reusable resources. This approach supports circular nutrient management, reduces environmental impacts on aquatic ecosystems, and advances sustainable water and agricultural practices.
