Two recent works by Juan Pablo Bermúdez will appear in Synthese this year. The first is "The skill of self-control", and the second is "Intentional mind-wandering as intentional omission: The Surrealist method" (co-authored with Santiago Arango).

Our team will publish two comments on George Ainslie's paper "Willpower with and without effort" on Behavioral and Brain Sciences. They are Olivier and Bastien's piece "Resolve is always effortful" and Juan Pablo's "Willpower needs tactical skill".

Symposium on collective efforts at ISOS

Juan Pablo Bermúdez coordinated and chaired the symposium "Joining forces: The nature and norms of collective efforts” at the International Social Ontology Society's biannual conference. The symposium included discussions of the presentations by Olle Blomberg, Marcell Székely and Wayne Christensen. A description and a video recording are available here.
