Q: How many hours a day should I study for?
A: I recommend that you should actively study (grammar, vocab building, etc.) for at least 1 hour everyday. It doesn't have to be 1 hour in one sitting; you can do 30 min in the morning, and then 30 min at night. If there is a will then there is a way!
Q: How should I structure my study time?
A: I recommend prioritizing vocabulary over grammar. So if you were to study 1 hour everyday, I would say:
40 min - vocabulary
20 min - grammar
Q: How long will it take me to finish this curriculum?
A: It depends. Some people absorb languages faster than others. But on average, you should give yourself about 2-3 years to reach the end of the curriculum. Broken down it would be:
PHASE 1: one week
PHASE 2: 7-8 months
PHASE 3: 1-2 years
PHASE 4 is Graduation (you should be a mid-upper intermediate Korean learner at this stage; immersing in native material will bring you to full fluency; however, you should be able to do most everyday tasks in Korean after you finish the curriculum)
