Learning can happen at your own speed without a schedule! Each of the lessons includes notes, exercises, activities and pertinent examples to aid one in learning, as well as understanding all the concepts effortlessly.

For the past 50 years, cognitive scientists have assumed that training attention and self-control must be effortful. However, growing evidence suggests promising effects of effortless training approaches such as nature exposure, flow experience, and effortless practice on attention and self-control. This opinion article focuses on effortless training of attention and self-control. We begin by introducing our definitions of effortful and effortless training and reviewing the growing literature on these two different forms of training. We then discuss the similarities and differences in their respective behavioral outcomes and neural correlates. Finally, we propose a putative neural mechanism of effortless training. We conclude by highlighting promising directions for research, development, and application of effortless training.

The result is an "effortless power" golf swing that feels like you're exerting less effort, cluttering your mind with fewer swing thoughts, and yet hitting longer and straighter drives.

Both effortful and effortless training have been shown to be effective in enhancing individuals' executive functions. Effortful training improves domain-specific EFs, while effortless training improves domain-general EFs. Furthermore, effortful training has significantly higher training effects on EFs than effortless training. The neural mechanism underlying these different effects remained unclear. The present study conducted meta-analysis on neuroimaging studies to explore the changes of brain activations induced by effortful and effortless training. The results showed that effortful training induced greater activation in superior frontal gyrus, while effortless training induced greater activation in middle frontal gyrus, precuneus and cuneus. The brain regions of MD system enhanced by effortful training were more associated with core cognitive functions underlying EFs, while those enhanced by effortless training were more correlated with language functions. In addition, the significant clusters induced by effortful training had more overlaps with the MD system than effortless training. These results provided us with possibility to discuss the different behavioral results brought by effortful and effortless training.

If it's too hard for employees to find an answer to a customer question, or if it takes too long for them to access or complete a training, then they are expending too much effort trying to learn or do their jobs. And that absolutely affects their satisfaction and loyalty to the company, just like product or service difficulties detract from customer experiences.

The need for effortless employee learning experiences was also illustrated by CEB's 2016 L&D Digital Learner Survey, which highlighted that more than 54% of employees surveyed reported that learning was hard to access, hard to consume, and hard to apply! (See the figure below)

With an average of 84% of our collective training hours being offered as primarily formal, scheduled, classroom, e-learning, and webinar 'courses', and only 32% accounting for social and mobile learning, it becomes apparent why employees don't have easy, timely access to learning resources and information they need, how and when it's needed - informally, and while they work!

To do this, L&D has to focus on varying the types of learning available, how the learning is accessed, how long the learning takes to complete, and how useful it is to the employee's immediate work.

When you look at kids, you see they learn fast and effortlessly and never rely on textbooks or written grammar rules. Instead, they stick to other mechanisms by noticing and following certain patterns. They learn intuitively and develop the feeling of speech.

I spent much time watching the ineffectiveness of old-school teaching methods. Then I came up with ways to abandon their futility and created more results-oriented practices. In my brand-new teaching system, I picked all my research-backed ideas and packed them into an effortless and entertaining course.

For me, it all started 15 years ago when I began my teaching journey. I remember one of my then students, Gladys, who amazed me with her hard work and dedication. Gladys put incredible effort into learning English, but after six months of textbooks, she was disappointed with her language skills. Learning English effortlessly and, most importantly, effectively remained a pipe dream for her.

This is a true beginner course, set up around the same chunking principles, with dialogues, flashcards etc, but made for complete beginners or intermediate/advanced students who want to get a refresher of the basics.

For example: If you only want Module 2 of a course released to users after they have completed and passed a quiz in Module 1, this is super easy using Release Conditions. Or, perhaps you only want to give access to a quiz after the learners have visited every content topic. Either way (and many others), Release Conditions to the rescue!

Imagine you have a learning path that requires the learner to complete a course before enrolling into the next. IAs can not only enroll those users into the next course when the first course is complete, they can even send a personalized e-mail letting them know of their successful completion and movement to the next step. A learner hasn't completed the course and we're approaching the due date? No problem! There's an upcoming assessment that you want to inform learners about? IAs have you covered! You'd like to send a congratulatory message to a learner for achieving a high score, or provide suggestions for improvement for a learner who may be struggling with a particular concept? Yup, it can do that too.

My sincere apologies @Jay.S.308 - I posted a little prematurely before my post was complete. It is now ready for reading and discusses various automation tools in Brightspace. Sadly, no automation webinars or workshops on the horizon as of now, but I recommend checking out this page on our website if you are interested in webinars!

Rather than being a practice confined to monastic or retreat environments, effortless mindfulness, as it was first introduced historically, was intended to be integrated into the workdays of ordinary people and practiced with eyes open. You'll also hear unique contemporary perspectives that draw from contemporary psychology and neuroscience research. 2351a5e196
