Exploring for the Future Development Association, Penghu

澎湖，是位於台灣海峽上的群島，它有如一串散落於東海的翡翠珍珠，約有90座島嶼組成。除了花嶼，澎湖全島皆為二千萬至八百萬年前陸續噴發的玄武岩火山熔岩平台，特殊的地理景觀、清澈的海水、湛藍的天空，有如是在上帝鬼斧神工下，創造出來的畫布。在前駐法大使呂慶龍與澎湖縣政府的積極爭取下，「台灣澎湖灣」在2014年3月7日正式成為世界最美麗海灣組織的成員。

Penghu archipelago, consisting of 90 islands, is located in the Taiwan Strait and they are like a string of pearls scattered across the East China Sea. Apart from the Huayu island, Penghu Island Group are all formed by basaltic volcanic lava between 17 and 8 million years ago. The magnificent columnar basalts, the crystal clear water beaches, blue sky and warm hearted people make the most picturesque sceneries. Hence the "Taiwan Penghu Bay" was officially become one of the members to the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club on the 7th of March, 2014, with the help of the former representative to France, Michel Ching-long Lu, and the Penghu County.

澎湖擁有著豐富自然與文化資產，這是一個需要被關注的地方。「探索未來發展協會，台灣澎湖」也因此誕生。

Penghu has a wealth of natural sceneries and cultural historical sites, where is a place needed to be cared. Under this circumstance, the "Exploring for the Futures Association, Penghu” was born.

我們從文化出發，關心4千年前即已經存在的史前玄武岩採礦及石器製造場考古遺址我們將致力保護；我們關注體育，認為澎湖未來秋冬季節最好的發展方向就是運動島，因此，我們積極的投入馬拉松體育推廣活動。

Our aim is to influence Taiwan policies for more and better protect the culture heritages, such as the over 4000- year Basalt Stone Axe Quarries and Workshops of Archaeological Sites in the Qimei Island, Penghu. ;We focus on sports and the best activities during the autumn and winter of the Penghu would be the marathon campaign hence we actively organize the Marathon sports.

我們更關注國際趨勢，我們認為澎湖未來一定是台灣最國際化的地方。19世紀已有多個國家曾經來到澎湖，尤其是法國，在孤拔將軍來到澎湖後，在很多地方都有法國的因子，澎湖現居的外國人也以法國人最多，與法國的緣分，將是促使澎湖國際化的重要鎖鑰。

We believe that the Penghu will be the most international place of Taiwan because of its geological locations. Penghu has been the “bridge” between the worlds since the Ice Ages, Age of Discovery, until present days. Since the 19th Century, Penghu and France have seen close relationships. During the Pescadores Campaign, French admiral Anatole-Amédée-Prosper Courbet (1826-1885) who won a series of important naval victories had based in Makung, Penghu and later died aboard his flagship Bayard in Makung harbor here on the 11 June 1885. French residents currently also form the largest communities of foreign residents in Penghu County.

有越來越多的澎湖人，開始重視保護海洋、保護大自然、尋找古文明等等，要的就是希望探索澎湖未來的發展，為澎湖找出路。

More and more Penghu people are aware of the importance of our ecological environment and cultural heritages. Therefore, to explore the future development of Penghu shall first to preserve the natural resources and cultural heritages of Penghu and to let the world see Penghu.

現在，就讓我們一起為澎湖這個偉大的島嶼，共同寫下偉大的歷史。

Let us now work together for the Penghu Islands and to write a new page of her great history.
