"When Things Go Wrong" networking session - Session A: April 3, 2025 @ 1:30pm EDT; Session B: April 14, 2025 @ 2pm EDT
Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and concerns related to their work in RIEF and engineering education research (EER) projects. Our expert facilitator (Dr. Karen High, Clemson University) will help us quickly identify commonalities in your questions/concerns and then encourage attendees to self-sort into breakout rooms based on common interests.
Some suggested topic ideas so far include:
How to frame programmatic vs. fundamental EER research
How do I situate my EER work for a certain journal
Dealing with funding uncertainty
IRB questions
Difficulties recruiting for EER studies
Do you have something pressing you'd like to discuss with other VCoP members? Let us know in your RSVP! The focus of these networking sessions is YOU, our wonderful community members, getting to know one another better, building connections, and helping each other brainstorm solutions to shared problems you're facing in your RIEF or EER work (big or small). We are offering this event twice, in the hopes that as many interested community members as possible can attend. We'd love for you to attend one or both - whatever works best for your schedule!
