This fall (Oct 2024), we completed all field work for the project toward better understanding fire effects on evapotranspiration in Great Basin shrublands. We uninstalled many of the energy balance stations we installed earlier this summer, and collected remaining late dry season soil and plant samples.
This May (2024) we got to have some fun in Utah by testing out some new soil core sampling equipment near NEON's Onaqui terrestrial field site.
Taking some predawn leaf water potential measurements at different Sagebrush Sites in the Great Basin during the summer 2024 fieldwork season.

We discovered that we all happen to like spending time outside looking for rock treasures! Who would have guessed?
This also proved to be a wonderful opportunity to learn some off roading skills that will definitely come in handy on future field outings.
