LEO (Laboratoired’Economied’Orléans - Orléans Research Center in Economics) is a research unit under the joint coordination of the Universities of Orléans, Tours, and Clermont Auvergne, gathering 43 permanent members (full and associate professors) and 69 PhD students. LEO is specialized in three research areas: (1) Macroeconomics and Finance, (2) International Economics and Sustainable Development and (3) Econometrics. Two LEO chairs will support this conference:
- the Chair of Environmental and Mineral Economics (CEME) that is funded by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) and the Bureau de recherchesgéologiques et minières (BRGM). This chair promotes research and teaching in the field of environmental and resource economics, within an international, globalization-oriented framework;
- the Chair in "Energy transition and transformation of economic models" that has been launched by the LEO in partnership with Crédit Agricole Centre Loire (CACL) under the aegis of the Institut Louis Bachelier (ILB). This chair contributes to the development and dissemination of recent advances in energy transition research and related economic modeling.

Labex VOLTAIRE is a pluridisciplinary long-term research program (Investissements d’Avenir) that aims at fostering research focused on the relations between Resources, Earth, and Atmosphere. VOLTAIRE (standing for VOLatils – Terre, Atmosphère et Interactions - Ressources et Environnement) gathers several research units: all the Geosciences Research Centers of the Orléans University campus, the LEO research center, the BRGM and INRA Orléans sites. It uniquely combines the various skills and sensitivities in order to build a scientific community in the fields of resources (energy and minerals) and environment (hydrosystems, soils, air masses). The LEO is responsible for the analysis of Economic and Social aspects related to Geosciences, within the Labex VOLTAIRE.

FAERE The missions of the FAERE are to bring together researchers, teachers, academics, and all those engaged in research and/or expertise in environmental economics and natural resources, to collect the information useful for researchers in the field, to promote all kinds of works in the field, to take steps and actions to make those works known by public and private institutions, to build strong relations with the different related scientific associations.
