Please bring a laptop with Matlab installed (no extra toolboxes are required although the Matlab Signal Processing, Statistics and Optimization toolboxes are recommended).
Laptops must have at the very least 8Gb of RAM. The version of Matlab should be later than 2018. We will share USB flash drives at the workshop to distribute material for Workshop practica. This will include the latest EEGLAB release. There is no need to install this EEGLAB before the workshop.
Wireless Network Configuration and Information:
We recommend logging in and using the EDUROAM wireless network during the EEGLAB workshop, if you are able to. This will provide a secure network for you. Then, if necessary, you may need to use your University-provided VPN to access your MATLAB network servers.
We are not able to provide local accounts on UC San Diego’s system for access to the UCSD-PROTECTED network; therefore, your only other option would be to use the UCSD-GUEST network.
It is extremely important that all attendees run virus scans in advance before connecting their computers to the UCSD network. Campus virus scans may restrict your access to the internet. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide technical assistance to everyone due to the size of the workshop. We are also unable to loan laptops to attendees who are experiencing technical difficulties. Please review the information above and ensure you prepare your device to avoid any issues.
