He got his initial research exposure during his M.Tech., where he worked on the adsorption of heavy metals, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and the detection of PPCPs in different water compartments. In his Ph.D. research, his broad area of focus includes indoor air quality and aerosols. He would love to explore various aspects of indoor air quality and, as a member of the EEEL, would try to contribute something meaningful to society. In his free time, he loves watching web series, soccer, and movies. He also enjoys discussing political scenarios with friends and family. His love for mountains is unconditional.

His research focuses on developing a compact, low-cost Environmental Quality Monitor using multiple sensors and deploying a dense city-wide network for reliable long-term air quality monitoring. It further analyzes high-resolution spatio-temporal data to identify pollution patterns and develop deep learning models for short-term forecasting. Additionally, his work aims to design and validate a next-generation low-cost PM sensor with improved accuracy, stability, and energy efficiency.

She is a passionate environmentalist with a strong focus on sustainable practices and circular economy culture. Her previous research work includes developing a prototype of filtration units for iron removal using different organic filter media, as well as studying the adsorption of heavy metals using valorized municipal solid waste. She is actively involved in sports, especially table tennis, handball, and basketball. Currently, her research focuses on the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) from particulate matter, their role in inducing oxidative potential, and understanding the associated toxicity mechanisms.
