Privacy Policy for HSS Tracker

This Privacy Policy describes how Edwin Toms handles information in the HSS Tracker mobile application (the "HSS Class Teacher").

1. Information Collection and Use

• Student Data & CSV Processing: All student records—including names, roll numbers, marks, and attendance data—are stored locally on your device using a secure SQLite database. This includes data manually entered or imported by the user via CSV spreadsheet files (e.g., student rosters). We do not collect, store, or transmit this data to any external servers. This data remains under your exclusive control.

• Absentee Contacting: The app offers a shortcut feature to quickly call absentees. When you use this feature, the app passes the phone number directly to your device’s native phone dialer application. We do not make direct phone calls, access your personal call logs, or collect or store any telephone communication records.

• Personal Information: We do not require users to create an account or provide any personal identification (such as email or phone numbers) to use the App.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses third-party advertising services provided by Google AdMob to show advertisements. These services may collect and use certain data, such as:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)

• Approximate location (city level)

• App interaction data

This data is used by Google to provide personalized ads and analyze ad performance. For more information, please review the Google Privacy & Terms.

3. Data Storage and Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device:

• Security: Your data is as secure as your mobile device. We recommend using device-level security (PIN, pattern, or biometric) to protect your records.

• Backups: Uninstalling the App or clearing App data will permanently delete all student records and imported CSV details. We are not responsible for data loss.

4. Children's Privacy

While the App is used to manage student data, it is intended for use by teachers and school administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

5. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions to support its functions:

• Storage/Files (CSV & PDF Processing): To import CSV rosters into the app and to save generated PDF reports to your device so you can share them via WhatsApp or email.

• Phone/Dialer Handoff: To pass absentee phone numbers to your device's built-in dial pad layout when initiated by the user.

• Internet: To load advertisements via AdMob.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.

Data Deletion Request

This app operates entirely offline and does not store user data on any external servers. To delete all data associated with this app (including imported CSV student records and attendance), users can:

1. Go to Settings ➔ Apps ➔ HSS Class Teacher.

2. Select Storage & Cache.

3. Click Clear Storage (or Clear Data).
