Edward L. Zhu
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Edward Zhu and I am a graduate student researcher in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. I work with Prof. Francesco Borrelli in the Model Predictive Control Lab. Previously, I graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 and received a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 from UC Berkeley while working with Prof. Alice Agogino in the Berkeley Emergent Space Tensegrities Lab.
I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a major in Controls. My research interests include:
Safe, learning-based model predictive control
Robot path-planning and trajectory generation
Multi-agent distributed/decentralized control in cooperative and competitive settings
Game-theoretic methods for prediction and planning
