Outside of the classroom, I serve as a Head Chess Coach at St. Rita of Cascia High School and an Assistant Chess Coach at St. Cletus School. Through coaching, I teach strategic thinking, discipline, sportsmanship, and resilience. I am also an IHSA Certified Coach and a USCF Certified Tournament Director, and I regularly organize competitive events and training sessions. Chess has become one of my strongest tools for mentoring students and helping them build confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills. I have been playing for 24 years and coaching for 8. I am also a professional bowler and have coached bowling in the past!
