Kastorix is a worldbuilding project I have been working for a few months. It's a high fantasy world with science fiction elements, mostly set on a moon orbiting a gas giant. It has over 25 different nations, 9 sapient species, many types of magical creatures and a developed magic system. Technology wise the world roughly mirrors our industrial period, but it relies heavily on magitech which changes many aspects of society.Â
It is the first big worldbuilding project I have done not for TTRPG campaigns, and it features many things that are uncommon in fantasy worlds. Humans are minority species compared to the other sapients, airships are one of the main methods of traveling around, magic is common place and there are no gods or divine forces.
So far I have over 85 000+ words written across 160+ notes, writing in Obsidian. Kastorix is mostly made as a personal worldbuilding project for me, but I would like to use as a setting for a game or TTRPG. I have started plotting out how I would design a TTRPG based on the setting, using parts of Pathfinder (2e) as a base.
