Paula Omokhomion is the visionary and CEO of Expanded Perspectives, the K12 education multimedia outfit that houses the EP Toolkit and forthcoming creative endeavors, such as the Expanded Perspective Podcast. She is also the creator of the entire toolkit.
Paula graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Nutrition (Health and Society) with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. There, she also double-minored with highest honors in creative writing fiction and sociology, which supports her work in Expanded Perspectives.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the University of California, Riverside. Paula's primary academic interests lie at the intersection of private and public sector contributions to health outcomes, as well as in strengthening health systems and social welfare programming in low-resource settings. Her lived experience in Nigeria and the US drives this population focus.
She also has an interest in civic education and media policy in K-12 institutions, and in their effects on behavior, youth civic participation, juvenile incarceration rates, government accountability, transparency, and national development. Paula believes that a more educated population can demand better public health services and support sustainable change, as the local workforce will not be easily distracted.
She aims to earn a PhD in Public Health after her MPP and to work in health systems strengthening (academia) and in non-profit grant development and consultancy.
