• Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.

• Application refers to EduCoach, the software program provided by the Company.

• Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Privacy Policy) refers to EduCoach.

• Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

• Service refers to the Application.

• Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

• Email address

• First name and last name

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. It may include information such as Your Device's IP address, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and information about how You use the application.

Device Usage Statistics (Screen Time Data) 

To provide the "Digital Wellbeing" (Screen Time) feature, Our Application requests the Android "Usage Access" (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) permission. If explicitly granted by You, We collect information regarding the time spent on various applications on Your device.

• Purpose: This data is collected solely to generate daily screen time reports, helping students monitor their digital habits and balance focus time with entertainment.

• Data Sharing and Visibility: If a student account is linked to an authorized Parent account, this daily summary (total screen time and the top 5 most used applications) is securely synced to our backend (Firebase) to be displayed on the Parent's dashboard.

• Data Protection: We do NOT use Your device usage statistics for targeted advertising. We do NOT sell, rent, or share this highly sensitive data with any unauthorized third parties or data brokers. It is strictly used for the core educational and parental reporting features of EduCoach.

Third-Party Services and Tools

We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, to show advertisements, and to manage subscriptions and payments.

Analytics and Backend (Google Firebase & Analytics)

We use Google Firebase and Google Analytics for Firebase to provide backend infrastructure (Authentication, Firestore) and to analyze how users interact with our app.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the Application.

• AdMob uses cookies and/or device advertising IDs to serve ads based on Your interests.

• You can opt-out of personalized advertising through Your mobile device settings.

Payments and Subscriptions (RevenueCat & Google Play)

Our Service offers premium features through paid subscriptions. We use RevenueCat and Google Play Billing for this purpose.

• Google Play Billing: All financial transactions are processed by Google. We do not store or collect Your payment card details.

• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription states and validate purchases. RevenueCat helps us identify which features You have access to.

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain our Service, including monitoring usage.

• To manage Your Account and give You access to functionalities.

• To contact You regarding updates or security communications.

• To manage Your requests and handle customer support.

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy (up to 24 months for account data after closure, or as required by legal obligations). 

You have the right to delete your personal data at any time. EduCoach provides two ways to request account and data deletion:

1. In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (profile information, study statistics, flashcards) by navigating to the "Profile" section within the app and selecting the "Delete Account" option. This action is immediate and irreversible.

2. Request via Email: If you have already uninstalled the application or cannot access your account, you can request the deletion of your data by sending an email to erginozahmetsafa@gmail.com. Please provide your registered email address. We will process your request and permanently delete your data from our servers within 30 days.

Data types deleted: Profile information (Name, Email), Study statistics, Flashcards, and Parent-child connection records.

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
