Associate Professor Yao-Chung Cheng has seventeen years of experience as a senior high school homeroom teacher, team leader, director of general affairs, principal’s secretary, and director of academic affairs, in addition to seven years as a national senior high school principal.

In 2012, after a public selection process conducted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Dr. Cheng was appointed principal of National Changhua Girls' Senior High School [Link] and National Hsinhua Senior High School [Link]. In In August 2019, he joined the Teacher Education Center at National Changhua University of Education as a full time Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023.

His research focuses on curriculum, educational administration, technology education, and positive psychology. He has led multiple projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council, working to integrate theory, practice, and policy.
