Associate Professor Cheng Yao-Chung earned his Ph.D. in Educational Sciences from the Department of Industrial Education and Technology at National Changhua University of Education. He has served as a high school advisor, team leader, director of general affairs, secretary, and director of academic affairs for a total of 17 years and as a principal of a national high school for 7 years.

In 2012, he was selected by the Ministry of Education as the principal of National Changhua Girls' Senior High School. In 2018, he became the principal of National Hsinhua Senior High School, and in August 2019, he was appointed as a full-time Assistant Professor at the Teacher Education Center of National Changhua University of Education. He was promoted to Associate Professor in August 2023.

His research expertise and interests include curriculum, educational administration, technology education, and positive psychology. Over the years, he has led several projects funded by the Ministry of Education and the National Science and Technology Council of Taiwan, dedicated to the integration of theory, practice, and policy promotion.
